Hello -

Just browsing through the Critiqueable queue and this caught my eye.

I like how the line of birds echo the gap in the clouds behind them. It is almost as if they are running (flying) away from the light.

The colours in the sun(rise|set) are nice. The way they blend in to the blues and grays of the clouds is very smooth.

The only thing I'd change* would be the two birds on the left of the photo. They draw the eye away from the focal point of the sun and main flock.

* Some people are loathe to Photoshop something out of a photo and I understand that, but unless you are going for complete realism or photojournalism, there is nothing wrong with editing the photo to achieve the desired effect.

All in all, this is a nice shot. Definitely in the right place at the right time.
